For me, the best time to visit the beach is sunrise or sunset.  It is such a spiritual experience.

In the morning, I am usually alone.  Just me, my camera, the birds, and possible a lone fisherman, trying his luck.

At sunset, you may not be alone, but in a group of spectators, standing in awe, as the sun sinks into the sea.
