Small Oil Painting, Tree Painting, Daily Painting, Fall Color Maple Tree, 6x8" Oil

I painted this little piece last fall, looking out the window of my studio in the Smoky Mountains.  It was a cold, gray, rainy day, and the little tree seemed to glow.

It reminded me of the little engine that could.  (I think I can, I think I can)


I always enjoy slinging paint around with a palette knife.  I highly recommed it, so if you have not tried it...........
